A twin is one of two offspring . Twins can either be monozygotic, “identical”, meaning that they develop from one zygote that splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic, “fraternal”, because they develop from two separate eggs , (in this case, ideas) that are fertilized separately and nearly simultaneously. The paintings in this series are mirror images that are supported by the allegory of Fraternal twins; very much the same but completely different and sometime opposite.

The complete DIZYGOTIC series was on exhibit at the Customs House Museum, Clarksville, Tennessee, Catalogue available
